“Everyone had a good time and it certainly made my first Mothers day without mum easier. I intend to do one every year. Thank you for the amazing job you all do.“
'Name The Hospice Bear'
Vivienne Hill, who works as part of the Browns Bay Herald Delivery Team that in the wee hours of the morning deliver our NZ Heralds, decided to run a slightly unconventional Hospice Cuppa.
“Once again, I ran a “name the Hospice bear” competition that was won by SJ who thought it would be good to have a DJ Browns-He, D being his wife's initial (last year’s bear was named S J Browns-He). Both bears went out helping delivery people all seven days of the week. During the week itself I was on Depot four out of five mornings. I baked a batch of biscuits and left deliverers little gifts (pottery tea bag holder and biscuit, biscuit and tea (or) coffee bag, etc. plus information re Hospice). I carried one collection tin with me and left one at the Depot.”
