Having organised her own funeral, Chris was looking for another distraction. She wanted to give something back to Hospice for the amazing support she is receiving – so she approached friends and the local Lions Club who are helping her put together the Rock the Hithe concert afternoon on 25 November.

Ron & Dorothy’s Story
Ron & Dorothy had been married for 64 years. Now that she has gone, there is a big gap for Ron to fill. " I remember when I first noticed Dorothy. It was in a photo that my brother took of his friends when they went camping in December 1940 – I knew she was the one for me”. Ron, was Dorothy’s full time carer for over a year and he, with the support of Hospice ensured that Dorothy receive the best care. Inness Anderson, 81, hadn’t been feeling well for awhile, so when the doctors discovered she had osteoporosis, she thought that was the cause of her ailing health and just got on with it. A Marathon for my Uncle
On October the 30th I took part in the Auckland Half Marathon. As a PE teacher I have always had a love of sport however running has never been my passion and to complete a Half Marathon was always on my “to do” list.
