A survey completed by Hospice North Shore volunteers in February has shown that almost all respondents find their work with us rewarding or worthwhile; with 97% saying they would recommend our charity as a place to volunteer.
Some of the comments include:
“It’s great being part of the volunteer team… all the interactions with patients and paid staff are always so positive so I don’t feel segregated at all by being “just’ a volunteer. Everyone is always nice and friendly – all living up to the Hospice motto/creed.”
“My years with hospice have been great, have loved every moment in all the many different positions I was able to fill, so I say thanks to you for helping to make me feel so useful.”
“For me Hospice has always been a place of learning, what you give out to the patients you receive back which makes you a better person.”
“It’s a great honour to be able to help with this wonderful work.”
