Volunteers are essential to the work of Hospice North Shore. Every year, hundreds of people donate their time and talent to our organisation. They work as part of an integrated workforce with our staff to deliver the highest quality of care, privacy and dignity to our patients and their loved ones.
Some volunteers support the work of our charity on a regular basis, while others support our events and fundraising activities throughout the year. We value our volunteers, and support them with training that prepares them for the areas in which they choose to work. Without our volunteers, we simply could not provide the same level of care to our community.
There are many reasons why people volunteer to work with us. ‘Putting something back into the community’ is a common reason, but volunteering also offers you the opportunity to learn new skills, gain hands-on experience and meet new people.
