Run for Hospice for the ‘Coastal Charity Champions’. Enter a relay team to go up against the Hospice Hobblers. Set yourself a challenge to beat last year's Champions: Pak'NSave Wairau.
Your Coastal Challenge team will receive a point for every dollar raised for Hospice. The more money your team raises for Hospice North Shore, the greater the chances of your team winning the title. You will also receive points for your Relay Team's placing (see chart below).
The team with the highest combined score will be crowned ‘Coastal Charity Champions’ for the year.
The Coastal Challenge is not only great fun, but also an excellent team building opportunity. Your team can consist of your 3-5 member relay team and any other staff who wish to enter one of the other coastal challenges.
Encourage other staff who don’t want to compete to get behind your team with support on the day and also to support and help with fundraising efforts. Everyone can get involved with training and join the Hospice Hobblers on a couple of their social training sessions where they casually take on one of the legs of the event.
It is important to keep everyone involved in your fundraising efforts too. Let them know your fundraising target and how your fundraising progress is going. Let them know the difference they are making.
By joining the Hospice Hobblers in the Coastal Challenge, you are helping support those on the North Shore community who are living with a life limiting illness who require Hospice care - we couldn’t do it without you.
