Inaugural Front UP challenge champions Marty van Barneveld and Kris Cunningham who raised over $12,000 for Hospice care in the community
The Front UP for Hospice challenge partnered with Harcourt’s Cooper & Co is a new charity event that started on Auckland’s North Shore and took place on Saturday 4th November. A fun packed and interactive event (which followed a similar format to The Amazing Race), was all about championing sustainability, wellbeing and community, whilst fundraising for Hospice care across the great North Shore!
Teams competed in fundraising in the lead up; then dressed up duos competed against each other on challenge day. They moved between Smales Farm and Hospice Shops completing a range of challenges such as Archery Attack, busking, running a live auction at Harcourt’s Cooper & Co, dressing mannequins at Devonport Ferry Terminal and stand up paddle boarding at Takapuna Beach. The weather wasn’t at its best for challenge day but that didn’t dampen the spirits or fundraising efforts! Front Up for Hospice Challenge raised over $35,000 and the money will go directly to helping support patients and their families in Hospice North Shore care.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the day to support patients and families in our community. A special thanks go to our major partner Harcourt’s Cooper & Co and our other supporting partners, Smales Farm, The Better NZ Trust, The Edge & Rotary Clubs on the North Shore.
